BALARAJA – Indonesian companies approach National Occupational Health and Safety Month in many ways. This January 12, PT Korindo Heavy Industry celebrated with a flag ceremony, where the heavy machinery and construction firm had its staff attend.
The event took place before working hours to remind employees of complying with occupational health and safety (K3) rules. It was also a momentum to increase awareness on K3’s importance on enabling a safe, peaceful working environment.
This ceremony featured a Manpower Minister mandate reading. “K3 [Occupational Safety and Health] Culture Creates Safe, Healthy Work and Sustainable Business” was warmly received in both the company’s workshop and Cilegon A project site.
General K3 Expert Khotib Al Badri, who’s in charge of the site, stressed K3’s role in creating a safe, peaceful workplace. “Let us boost K3 culture to prevent unwanted incidents,” he said.
Through the celebration, workers are expected to obey rules and regulations at all times, especially those concerning work health and safety. (Nurohmad/KHI)
