Asiki (Sinar Digoel) – The arrival of the CEO and PT Korindo Asiki team in Ujung Kia Village, Ki District are warmly welcomed by the local community.
The Village Chief, on behalf of the people of Ujung Kia Village, thanks to their coming. The team is lead by the Director Yi Jung Myeong.
“This is the first time the Director of PT Korindo, Yi Jung Myeong, and the team visits Ujung Kia Village and provides free medical treatment,” he said.
On that occasion, the Village Chief also asks Korindo to not only pay attention to the health sector, but also the education and public housing because most of the land in the village has been taken by the company.
Meanwhile, related to the Village Chief’s expectation of the housing aid for the local people, Satuman, the CSR Coordinator of Korindo Asiki says that since the beginning, the company has been implementing 3 pillars program related to the people who live in the area around the company. The 3 pillars are welfare, education, health and economic improvement including the housing for the citizens. It has been gradually accomplished, e.g. the company has built the housings gradually such as those in POPB Getentiri where the company has built 10 permanent houses.
“Since the beginning, there are 3 pillars program that we have done that is welfare, education, health and economic improvement. Related to the housing for the citizens, PT Korindo has been gradually doing the development, e.g. we have built 10 permanent houses in POP B Getentiri,” said Satuman.
Satuman admits that currently the company is still prioritizing customary rights or the Head of the Clan who has land which has been used by the company, and still enables the company to build houses for other communities in the company’s area.
