CILEUNGSI – Aspex Kumbong reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s education system through its Corporation Social Contribution event Wednesday (6/19) at Sadewa Reading Room, Wanaherang Village, Bogor. At the event, company representatives brought over 250 books to add to the facility’s collection.
Aspex Kumbong’s general manager Jung Chan Ho handed over the books personally. In his speech, Jung stated that this donation is part of the company’s social responsibility to promote education and boost reading enthusiasm among young children and teenagers.
He also hoped it provides a way through which the company can build closeness with the local community and help kids grow an early love of reading. “It is our hope that these books become a window to the world for the kids in Wanaherang and allow them to reach their dreams and make a better future for themselves.”
Built by village members, the reading room has become a learning and literacy center for local youth. Aspex’s assistance is expected to further encourage visitors on their self-improvement journey, where reading is the vehicle.
Sadewa leader Tiktik Santika Budiati expressed her gratitude for Aspex’s help. “This donation means much to us. With a growing library, there are more options to offer ou village’s young readers,” she said.
Through this CSC initiative, Aspex aims to leave long-lasting positive impacts on society, especially on the education system. The company is committed to running rewarding social programs for settlements around its operational site. (Nunung/AK)
