JAKARTA – PT Bimaruna Jaya (BRJ) is among the 34 companies awarded the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. This recognition marks a key milestone in the company’s journey to strengthen its compliance standards, supply chain security, and reliable logistics governance.
The certificate handover took place at the directorate general’s headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday, June 18, 2026. Awardees — which hail from various sectors ranging from manufacturing, trade, to logistics services —received their recognition following a certification process from September 2025 to May 2026.
For BRJ, this status acknowledges its commitment to aligning business operations with customs, security, and supply chain governance standards. Companies are named AEOs when they have proven themselves to meet the requirements of a trusted economic operator.
BRJ’s achievement further cements its position as a service provider focused on continuous service improvement. Previously, the firm was certified for its seven areas of expertise: transportation, freight forwarding, NVOCC services, container yard operations, warehouse operations, consolidation, and customs brokerage. Such a broad scope demonstrates support for an end-to-end, law-compliant logistics system.

The granting of AEO status is part of the directorate general’s efforts to promote secure, compliant, and competitive trade, said Budi Prasetiyo, the head of Public Relations and Education Subdirectorate at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise.
“With more and more businesses being recognized as AEOs, we hope to continually enhance the competitive edge of local entities in the global trade market,” Budi added.
This latest addition put the total number of Indonesia-based operators at 210 as of May 2026. These include 183 companies running export-import operations, and 27 others providing warehousing, customs clearance, freight transport, and temporary storage services, to name a few.
With the AEO status, BRJ is expected to earn deeper trust from customers, partners, and stakeholders. Beyond certification, the AEO program celebrates consistency in building a work system that is in line with the law, secure, efficient, and geared towards greater competitiveness.
Moving forward, BRJ will continue to maintain a professional, transparent operational standard. The company also stands ready to deepen its collaboration with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and its business partners to bring an increasingly reliable, safe, and globally competitive logistics ecosystem.
