JAKARTA – Korindo Foundation secured 115 blood bags from its employee blood drive Tuesday (6/23/2026) at Wisma Korindo, Jakarta. “A Simple Act, A Lifesaving Impact” was held in partnership with the Depok branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI Depok).
It initially attracted 137 sign-ups, of whom 22 were later declared unfit to donate. Reasons revolved around physical condition, such as blood pressure issues and abnormal hemoglobin (Hb) levels.
This event is a regular initiative at Korindo Group, enabling staff to contribute socially while maintaining physical fitness, said Korindo Foundation’s general manager, Setiyono.
“We want to encourage employees to make a real impact as they help others. We hope this initiative supports both the health of the recipients and donors.”

Corporate blood drives play a crucial role in ensuring the high demand for blood supplies is met, said PMI Depok representative dr. Xenilitiurahmi Rimadeirani. The Indonesian Red Cross can’t rely solely on donations from the public.
“Partnerships with companies, like this one, greatly help with maintaining blood availability. It’s not enough to only depend on non-employee donors.”
The event had early blood pressure and hemoglobin screening, which was mandatory to ensure blood quality and safety.
Having passed both tests, fifth-time donor Dwijayanti Kusmayni shared her reason for donating.
“I feel much healthier after doing it. I also hope my donation will benefit the person receiving it.” (PR)
