CENTRAL KALIMANTAN – After a series of OSHMS audit triumphs in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Cilegon, Korindo Group saw its Central Kalimantan subsidiaries (Korindo Aria Bimasari, Korintiga Hutani HTI, and Korintiga Hutani Industry) following suit. In Indonesia, these audits are mandated by Government Regulation 50/2012 for firms with an occupational safety and health management system (OSHMS).
Accredited external auditor Sentra Sertifikasi Indonesia arranged the two-stage assessment, which featured a remote document audit in July and an onsite audit in September at each company site. All companies finished with a “SATISFACTORY” rating in the second stage audit, checking all the 166 criteria.
Their success earned praise from the management, who extended gratitude to the parties involved and pledged to reinforce the occupational safety and health (OSH) culture at their respective locations.
Sentra Sertifikasi Indonesia’s lead auditor, Maxwell, also thanked the internal audit team for giving him their trust. “I hope the companies continue to go forward,” he said.
In an effort to establish safer and healthier workplaces, Korindo Aria Bimasari, Korintiga Hutani HTI, and Korintiga Hutani Industry set up OSHMS systems across their departments and divisions. This move reflects their vow to follow state regulations and improve safety standards for employees. These systems have as well continued to produce positive results.
Furthermore, the audit certificates serve as a testament to the unwavering commitment of all three companies to high work safety and health standards. With support from company executives and active staff participation, the subsidiaries are working to integrate the OSH culture into every aspect of their operations. Doing this will create a safe work environment and promote sustainability and employee welfare. (HSE)
