55 Papuan Children Receive Scholarships from TSE-A

Asiki – Korindo Group Papua through PT Tunas Sawa Erma (PT TSE-A) provided scholarship fund valued at Rp69,000,000,- (sixty-nine million rupiah) to 55 students through the Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program. The assistance handover was held for 2 days (Thursday-Friday, November 19-20, 2020) and took place at the office meeting room of PT Tunas Sawa Erma A, Camp 19, Jair District, Boven Digoel, Papua.

This scholarship program is a commitment from Korindo Group as the company’s form of concern for education. The number of scholarship recipients this year according to the education levels includes 19 elementary school students (SD), 13 junior high school students (SMP), 17 high school students (SMA) and 6 university students.

“The company hopes that the children who received this scholarship can properly benefit from this assistance to buy school supplies and the parents should encourage their children to maintain their passion in studying,” said the GM of PT TSE-A, Mr. Kim Inwoog in his speech.

Allowesius Gembenop, representing the parents of the scholarship recipients, happily welcomed the assistance that continue to be provided by the company. He will continue to motivate the children to keep the learning spirit alive.

On the same occasion, the General Manager of PT TSE-A, Mr. Bae Sung Tek stated, “PT Tunas Sawa Erma provided support to students in the form of education scholarship, from elementary school to university level. On behalf of the company, we hope this scholarship can motivate the children further to study harder in achieving their goals. Keep up the spirit, reach your dreams for the future,” he said in an interview following the event.
