JAKARTA — Micro, small, and medium businesses (MSMEs) underpin the Indonesian economy through job creation, improved living standards, and macroeconomic management.
This sector is supported by Korindo Foundation through annual capital assistance aimed at young business owners. Under the “Youth Entrepreneurship” program, this assistance has benefited two lucky applicants this year, who received 7.5 million IDR each.
The program is also part of efforts to encourage financial independence through promising, sustainable business ventures. Its winners for 2025 were chosen for their innovative ideas and strong commitment towards growth.
Youth Entrepreneurship’s handover ceremony took place Thursday (10/30) at the Pancoran Subdistrict office, featuring Korindo Foundation’s general secretary Lee Sunghoon.
Lee and his team hoped to provide financial and moral support to enable innovation and expansion. On a broader scale, Korindo Foundation seeks to boost the role of private companies in economic growth.

“Congratulations to our winners. Youth Entrepreneurship is founded on the goal of empowering young entrepreneurs in Pancoran, and so we fully support their growth. I hope this aid helps you grow your shop and motivates you along the way. Building a business isn’t easy,” said Lee.
Both program beneficiaries were first screened and evaluated based on their business proposals. One of them, Mirsa Sarah Diva Octaviana, expressed her gratitude.
“I don’t have enough tools to work with, so I’m going to use this money to buy them and [other] needed equipment. Thank you, Korindo Foundation, for your support,” said the cake-making business owner.
Youth Entrepreneurship therefore demonstrates Korindo Group’s fulfilment of its social responsibilities. Besides education and the environment, the company is also paying attention to local economic development, helping enhance the capabilities of MSMEs as the economic backbone. (PR)
