CILEGON – In the spirit of Ramadan, PT Kenertec Power System (KPS) has joined hands with other Cilegon-based businesses to donate money to elders and single orphans in Gunung Sugih Urban Village.
A ceremony was held Wednesday (2/11) to show solidarity. The company hoped to alleviate financial strains and morally support those in need.
68-year-old Euis was one of the beneficiaries. The woman was thankful for the donation, which would help her and her family get through the days leading up to Ramadan.
“Thank God, this money would be very useful in meeting my basic needs…and buying medicines [I need] as an elderly person.”
Single orphan Kurnia Sari Ayu echoed her gratitude. She and her twin, Kurnia Sari Asih, also received financial donations.
“I’ll use this aid for [buying] school supplies and paying tuition. Thank you, PT Kenertec Power System, for helping us,” she said.
Andi Rustandi, local urban village head, appreciated this initiative. “PT Kenertec Power System has always been attentive and supportive of us locals. [They] don’t just do donation drives, but also road repairs, community activity assistance, and so much more.”
The company expected its event to strengthen ties with surrounding communities, while providing real and lasting benefits in the areas it operates. (PR)
