BOGOR – Korindo Group through Korindo Foundation once again collaborated with Bogor Regency Government in conducting reforestation program. After establishing Pakansari City Forest, both parties are now trying to revamp an area formerly used as a Landfill of Pondok Rajeg and turn it into an open green space.
As an initial stage, the Afforestation Division of Korindo Group conducted a feasibility study, which is expected to take place from June until the end of this year. The feasibility test is needed in order to ensure that the selected plants are in accordance with the characteristics of the land in the former landfill area.
The Head of Settlement and Housing Sub Division at the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency (Bappedalitbang) of Bogor Regency, Tika Effendi expressed her hopes that the collaboration between the two parties can run smoothly. “We have been waiting for Korindo Group’s involvement in the urban forest development in Pondok Rajeg, especially in the efforts to ease the burden of the government’s limited budget,” she said.
