BOGOR – Korindo Foundation and PT Aspex Kumbong rehabilitated non-productive land and turned it into productive land, which is used as a reforestation zone and fruit tree cultivation. The program, called Korindo Green Corner, will also reach areas where other Korindo Group’s business units are located as well as the public-owned areas.
As a pilot project, the rehabilitation was carried out in the open land of Aspex Kumbong office located in Cileungsi, Bogor Regency. As many as 1,300 plant seeds were planted in Korindo Green Corner, from hardwood plants to mangoes and guavas. The launch of the program was held in conjunction with Indonesian Tree Planting Day, which falls on November 28.
In addition to planting, Korindo Foundation with Aspex Kumbong also conduct routine land maintenance and care. This reforestation program is part of Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) of Korindo Group and its business units, which aims to preserve the surrounding environment.
