CILEUNGSI – Tissue maker Aspex Kumbong guarantees its products meet halal certification requirements in line with Law 33/2014 (on halal product certification). This commitment is part of efforts to conform to state regulations and ensure product safety for customers.
Halal certification covers all areas related to production stages (e.g. raw material management, processing) and components (e.g. factory infrastructure, equipment). Therefore, at Aspex Kumbong, each production step closely aligns with cleanliness, hygiene, and zero-contamination standards.
All its ingredients, production processes, and facilities are kept sanitary and free of non-halal contaminants.
Aspex tissues are manufactured using 100% virgin pulp and 0% optical brightening agents (OBA), chemicals with a whitening effect. These products undergo strict quality control, which confirms they are safe for use and are halal-compliant.
Dewi Oktarina, the company’s halal supervisor, said certifying for halal is a form of corporate responsibility, not only a state-mandated obligation.
“[And] this move has demonstrated our compliance with quality standards and values our customers need.”
Besides ensuring product safety, halal certification enhances competitive edge. Halal-certified items have better acceptance at home and abroad, and are more trusted by buyers.
Echoing Dewi’s statement, Aspex Kumbong has shown a commitment to following applicable regulations and protecting the quality of its tissue product lines.
As is known, the company has launched two brands, Hadato and ILova, in the local market. These flagship brands are part of its promise to deliver premium tissues that cater to domestic consumers. (PR)
