CILEUNGSI – In time for Eid al-Fitr, PT Aspex Kumbong has donated 2,250 staple food kits to communities in two districts, Cileungsi (including Dayeuh Village, Kampung Bojong Kaso, Cileungsi Kidul Village) and Gunung Putri (covering Kampung Parungdengdek and Wanaherang Village).
The distribution lasted over three days, at PT Aspex Kumbong’s site on March 14 and 16–17. To ensure a smooth and safe process, beneficiaries were split into groups to pick up their kits in turn.
Food donation is an annual tradition at PT Aspex Kumbong. It’s a way for the company to support those living near its location, said General Manager Geuntai Kim.
“We’re back with our decades-long program, whose goal is to help our immediate communities meet needs ahead of Eid,” Kim said. “We’re hoping to continue this for years to come.”
Food kits or packages are distributed to aid with Eid preparations. As the holy day approaches, households nationwide tend to have bigger needs.
The company hopes to relieve these needs and, at the same time, bring gratitude and joy to beneficiary families.
