JAKARTA – KORINDO Group’s Plywood Division became the first private company to initiate CSR transfer program into Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional-Kartu Indonesia Sehat (JKN-KIS) in North Penajam Regency, East Kalimantan.
This statement was expressed by the Secretary of North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, H. Tohar, during the socialization on the benefits of BPJS, which was held by BPJS Balikpapan in the Office of North Penajam Paser Regent, last Tuesday (10/10).
This socialization was accompanied with the launch of CSR Program on membership registration of Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) BPJS Kesehatan by KORINDO Group’s Plywood Division in East Kalimantan. Symbolically, the aid delivery was given by the Management of Plywood Division to 150 residents located around the company, in Jenebora District, Penajam Regency.
“This is one of the company’s contributions toward the community in order to improve the quality of life, particularly in medical service facilities. This must be appreciated and become an example for other companies. Once again, I express my appreciation and gratitude to the leaders of the company, that has helped the regional government program,” H. Tohar stated.
With the aid delivery, the company has become a foster parent in healthcare for the surrounding community near the company, and has helped the community in terms of healthcare.
On the same occasion, the Head of BPJS Balikpapan Dr Muhammad Fakhriza explained that by becoming a member of BPJS Kesehatan, the entire cost of hospital anywhere will be covered without any charge at all.
According to him, this is in accordance with the principles held by BPJS, which include; the healthy helping the sick, the capable helping the incapable, and so on. KORINDO’s aid socialization and signing event was also attended by the Head of Commission II of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of North Penajam Paser Regency.
