Korindo Foundation Distributes School Uniforms to Student Victims of Flood in Pengadegan

Jakarta – Due to the high rate of rainfall in the beginning of 2020, flood has once again submerged several regions in the capital city of Jakarta, including regions located around Korindo Headquarters in Pengadegan Sub-district, Pancoran, South Jakarta. A number of activities have been disrupted, and learning activities at schools were also hampered.

Knowing this, Korindo Foundation through its Corporate Social Contributions (CSC) program went straight to the field to help the students affected by the flood last week. Students in Pengadegan area have lost school uniforms due to the flood. Korindo Foundation took the initiative to provide 200 pieces of school uniforms for high school students who were affected by the flood.

The donation was handed over to Pengadegan Sub-district Office and was directly received by the Head of Pengadegan Sub-district, Azhari.S,Sos, who was accompanied by the student recipients of the donation and the surrounding community. The 200 high school students consisted of residents of RW 01 and 02 from 11 neighborhood units (RT) in Pengadegan Sub-district, Pancoran, South Jakarta.

The Head of Pengadegan Sub-district, Azhari delivered his gratitude for Korindo’s concern to support the continuity of the learning activities of children in Pengadegan area. “Hopefully this donation can motivate the students to improve their spirit in studying and gaining knowledge,” said Azhari.

In addition to the donation of school uniforms for the student victims, Korindo Foundation has done other various CSC activities in Pengadegan Sub-district, such as the community entrepreneurship development program, including hydroponic garden provided for the local farmers’ group. (ray/iqb/pr)
