JAKARTA , 31 August 2022 – Moving towards the 2022/2023 academic year, Korindo Group awarded employees’ children scholarships through its foundation. This year there are 92 beneficiaries, who excel in academic and non-academic fields.
Korindo Group Scholarship for Employees’ Children program has been running since 1998. Until this year, 2,019 kids have received its benefits.
This year’s awardees come from Korindo Group’s Regional 1 area: the Headquarters (6 people), PT Dongbang Development (4 people), PT Bimaruna Jaya (13 people), PT Aspex Kumbong (47 people), PT Korindo Heavy Industry (9 people), T Kenertec Power System (12 people), and Bimaruna Margajaya (1 person).
Korindo Foundation’s General Secretary Seo Jeongsik handed the scholarships in a symbolic ceremony to the representatives, Yuliana and Saimah Juk Sian from the IT Division, on Tuesday (30/8).
Seo congratulated the students and hoped the assistance would encourage them to achieve more.
“We provide scholarships for junior and high school students as a form of appreciation for our employees, who are key to fulfilling our vision and mission,” he said.

Yuliana, who joined Korindo in 1999, said she sincerely appreciated Korindo’s action. This scholarship could motivate her child, Sofie, to study harder. “Of course, this assistance will help my kid put more effort into her studies,” she said.
Sofie is in her third year of high school. She amasses quite an impressive list of academic and non-academic achievements, which makes her parents proud. On 28 August, the 16-year-old girl won gold medals for the English and Indonesian categories in the 2022 Independence Day National Student Olympics. She also snatched a bronze medal in the Mathematics category. (PR)
