BOVEN DIGOEL –  PT Tunas Sawa Erma POP A (PT TSE-A) once again proved its concern toward the community’s welfare. At the end of September 2020, a number of residents of Kukurantap Village, Jair District, Boven Digoel, Papua were delighted to welcome the attention given by the company in the form of inauguration of a well in order to solve the problem with the lack of clean water, especially during the dry season.

The presence of this clean water well is seen as more than just good news for the people in Kukurantap Village, because clean water is a crucial thing needed by every single person. Moreover, all this time, the people could only obtain clean water by catching rainwater.

The General Manager of PT TSE-A, Bae Sung Tek said that this problem has become the main concern for the company. “After conducting a review and speaking with the community, we decided that we cannot let this problem go on any longer,” he explained.

However, in addition to building a clean water well; the company also made sure that the source of water really comes from flowing springs—so it can be ensured that the residents will have no trouble obtaining clean water even in the dry season.

“PT TSE will continue to strive to provide the best thing for the community,” he ensured.

The Chief of Mikan Clan, Ignasius Mikan as the community’s representative welcomed the donation with enthusiasm. “We often experience problems in obtaining clean water during the summer, for that, we are very grateful and thankful for the clean water well built by the company,” he said after the inauguration.
