Photo: Days ahead of Eid al-Fitr, Aspex Kumbong spreads joy through staple food donation
BOGOR – In the days leading up to Eid al-Fitr, PT Aspex Kumbong shared its joy by bringing food aid to nearby settlements. 2,220 packages were handed over to 10 neighborhood associations in Dayeuh Village, 8 neighborhood associations in Parungdengdek Subvillage of Wanaherang Village, and 3 neighborhood associations in Bojong Kaso Subvillage of Cileungsi Kidul Village in Bogor Regency.
The process took place in three days, starting from Monday, April 1, 2024. “This donation shows our concerns for locals and is our way to spread happiness with them, who have aided and supported Aspex in its activities. We hope it helps them celebrate the holiday,” said Aspex’s general manager Jung Chan Ho.
Staple food donations form part of the company’s annual Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) programs, with the number of packages increasing every year.
Aspex gave out 5 kg of premium rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, and 1 kg of granulated sugar. The event came at the right moment as local Muslims were observing Ramadan and gearing up for Eid, which holds importance for the community.
Ozos, a local figure and neighborhood association leader in Parungdengdek, thanked the company for its attention and assistance, especially during major holidays like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
“[It seems] Aspex never runs out of attention to give us… we are showered with endless love. Its presence among us has given so many benefits, I hope our partnership lasts long.”
CSC aims to build relations with settlements and communities around Aspex’s operational site. Aspex continues to work with the people on positive programs. (Nunung/AK)
